One more time. (By the way, there’s more here).
“Unless the [military] service is made universal and compulsory, only the best and bravest young men are killed or disabled in large numbers, while the selfish and spiritually weak remain at home to perpetuate the race.”
From Loraine Boettner, The Christian Attitude Toward War
This kind of stuff gives me the creeps. So if one is a pacifist or for any other reason unwilling to volunteer for military service they’re just staying home dirtying up the gene pool. Maybe we should just breed those best and brightest so we can have the ultimate fighting force. We’ll use those spiritually weak fellows as bait.
Alicia’s first Christmas present… Gypsy the Russian Blue
Here are some pictures of our new kitten, Gypsy. She was found in dumpster by a volunteer from IMPACT for Animals when she was two days old and bottle raised by a foster mom. She’s a little shy still but starting to get used to things in her new home.

These cats were at the pet store where we picked up Gypsy from her foster mom. They cracked us up. I think they look like two owls.

And here are some pictures of our first Christmas tree. It’s about a 6 1/2 foot Scotch Pine with a slightly leaning silver star one top.

49 - 14 at the end of the third. I love it… I can’t even blog fast enough. I was typing 41 - 14 when they scored again. If they keep it up they’ll be the first team in history to score 60 points or more for 5 games in a row.
