Rumor has it that Apple will be unveiling a new super thin laptop at Mac World in San Francisco on Tuesday that will have among other features a drastically expanded touchpad for multi-touch feature incorporation. Above is a projected concept image from Mac Rumors. Check out the story here
A Word About the Header Picture
The picture at the top of this blog was taken by my father at the Edradour Distillery just outside Pitlochry, Scotland. Edradour is the smallest single malt distillery in Scotland and is run solely by three men. They still do everything in the old school, farm method and produce about 12 bottles per week of some of the finest single malt I’ve ever had. And as you can see, the location itself is absolutely beautiful.
I decided it was about time to go ahead and move my blog over to what I hope will prove to be a better provider with a cleaner look. Although at the moment I’ve still got my doubts. As I type this Safari is giving me a pop-up warning about every 10-30 seconds informing me that a script on this page is causing ‘Safari to be unresponsive,’ and whether I click ‘continue’ or ’stop’ seems to make no difference.
Also, I’m not at all excited about the fact that it seems that if I want to place a picture larger than a thumbnail on my blog I have to first upload it to a third party host like Flickr and then link from there.
Finally, I really wanted to get rid of the bullets to the right in front of my ‘Links’ categories and although I found the script that should have done it I cannot make it work, and I also can’t seem to figure out how to manually order the ‘List’ categories (I’d like to have my Blogroll at the top). So, I’m definitely not entirely sold yet, but I’m still learning about Blogsome (which seems to be a WordPress clone or something) and trying not to make judgments to hastily. If worse comes to worse, I may just move over to WordPress, although I’m not sure I can import all of this site’s formatting and it has been more than a bit of a hassle setting this up.
Speaking of formatting, the links will be filled out a bit more over the coming days, and I may make a few more minor changes here and there.
